Three-year-old Allex Belback was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called anaplastic astrocytoma in March of 2010. He received a stem cell transplant at The Nebraska Medical Center, but his grandparents, who are caring for him, didn?t have reliable transportation to get to and from the hospital to visit and stay with him. The Nebraska Medical Center contacted the Metro Area Youth Foundation, which is an organization made up of area Optimist Clubs. They, in turn, contacted Walt and Steve Keast, who own auto dealerships in western Iowa. The Keasts donated a 2000 Pontiac Montana minivan so the Belbacks could make it more easily from their home in Council Bluffs, IA to the hospital.
